The sale is the first of the lot takedowns in the subdivision, and the future takedowns are to be purchased throughout 2010 / 2011. The completion of this project is planned for Fall 2010.

The Nelson Cobb estate owned the 69.62 acres at the northeast corner of Busbee Parkway and Big Shanty Road, just north of Town Center Mall, for over 50 years. The owners were pleased that the property which had been in their family for so many years could be used by the University for much needed campus expansion. The sale included a charitable gift to the KSU Foundation by the Nelson Cobb estate. Barry McWhirter and Dan Buyers represented the family in the sale.
